Cotnact:
Introduction
The RSM-SNR(C) Pipeline Motive Sonar Test System (Blue Whale No.1) is designed for efficient inspection of submerged pipelines, detection wells, and underground cavities. Unlike traditional sonar systems, it integrates powerful propulsion thrusters and a 4K ultra-clear camera, eliminating the need for pulling ropes or cables. The system supports 360° all-directional movement—forward, backward, lateral, ascent, descent, and roll—enabling flexible maneuvering in complex environments. It can accurately identify structural and functional defects (cracks, deformation, branch connections, siltation, obstacles, residual walls, dam footings, etc.), calculate deposition volume, and generate longitudinal silt profiles in real time. With intelligent multi-dimensional 3D visualization, the system greatly improves pipeline inspection efficiency and is especially suited for cities with high groundwater levels. As a complement to CCTV systems, it has become an indispensable tool for water-filled pipeline detection and evaluation.

FAQs
Q
What problems does the RSM-SNR(C) solve that conventional sonar/CCTV tools can’t?
+
A
It combines an eight-thruster submersible (free forward/back/ascend/descend/roll/tilt) with 4K anti-shake optical imaging + 2 MHz sonar, so you can inspect water-filled pipelines and shafts without drainage or tow cables. It quantifies silt deposition, generates longitudinal silt profiles and 3D visuals, and supports one-click reporting—ideal for high-groundwater cities.
Q
What are the key performance specs for range, endurance, and image/sonar quality?
+
A
Max depth 100 m, top speed 1.5 m/s, endurance ≥4 h (200 Wh battery), operating −10 °C to +45 °C. The camera records up to 4K/30 fps (12 MP stills), with 2×2000 lm LED lighting. The 2 MHz sonar has 1.1° beam width and 0.5 mm resolution (within 125 mm). The probe is IP68 and supports pipe diameters DN300–6000 mm.
Q
How is deployment handled on site—cable, control, and safety?
+
A
A modular automatic cable reel (standard 300 m, customizable; 300 kg tensile-strength cable) provides motorized in/out, adjustable brake, emergency stop, and ±0.1 mm encoder readout overlaid on video. Control is via 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi remote/tablet (HDMI 1080p output), with a compact aluminum-alloy body (< 4.5 kg) for portability; overall underwater vehicle weight is ~8 kg including sonar and battery.
