Testing Purpose & Method
The testing was conducted for construction self-inspection and quality acceptance of foundation piles supporting both roadway and bridge structures. The ultrasonic cross-hole CT imaging method was applied to assess pile shaft continuity, detect internal anomalies, and evaluate overall pile integrity.

Testing Results
Defects Observed:
Minor anomalies detected in the middle sections of some piles, likely caused by the use of self-compacting concrete without sufficient vibration, leading to trapped air voids.
Sediment-related defects at some pile toes, attributed to delayed cleaning of boreholes after drilling and scouring effects from groundwater.
Impact: Although localized defects were identified, the overall integrity of the piles remained within acceptable engineering standards.
Evaluation
Engineering Evaluation: The majority of piles were found to be sound, with only isolated cases of notable defects. The foundation quality was assessed as generally reliable.
Equipment Performance: The RSM-SY8(C) performed with stability and accuracy, providing clear imaging and dependable defect identification.
