Project Overview

  • Testing Equipment: RSM-SY6(C) Ultrasonic Tester

 

Testing Purpose & Method
The purpose of the monitoring program was to assess the loosening zone of surrounding rock during construction. The ultrasonic testing method was applied to evaluate stability conditions in critical underground structures, including the traffic tunnel, water diversion tunnel, and spillway tunnel.

 

Testing Scope

  • Monitoring of loosening range of surrounding rock in key tunnel sections

  • Verification of rock mass stability against design expectations

 

Testing Results

  • Loosening Range: 0–1.1 m

  • Abnormalities: None; rock mass remained within design limits

  • Impact on Project: No adverse effects observed

 

Evaluation

  • Overall Engineering Evaluation: The detected loosening depth matched design expectations, confirming the stability of the surrounding rock mass.

  • Equipment Performance: The RSM-SY6(C) operated effectively, though some probe signal instability was observed (signal fluctuation when fixed at depth). The gasbag sealing method was tested but proved relatively slow. Despite this, test accuracy remained sufficient for reliable engineering evaluation.
