Safety Monitoring of Tower Cranes at a Construction Site in Wuhan

Release time:

2026-03-23 17:07

Project Overview

To address the structural stability requirements of tower cranes during operation, real-time monitoring of tower inclination is implemented to enhance construction safety assurance.

Technical Solution

  • Ultra-long-range measurement (approximately 280 m)
  • Non-contact identification based on the natural texture of the tower body
  • Real-time tracking of structural pose changes
Serial Number Type Information Content
1 Focal length 25mm
2 Measurement Point Type Unique texture features of tower cranes
3 Measurement point distance The distance to CD_1 is 280 m, and the distance to CD_2 is 290 m.
4 Refer to the test specifications. GB/T 5031-2019 Tower Cranes

Test conditions

Detect the real-time tilt of the tower body of a tower crane during operation.

Operating Condition 1 Rotate the loaded object from the starting position to the designated end position.
Operating Condition 2 Stop for 2 minutes
Operating Condition 3 Rotate the load from the designated end position back to the starting position.

Measurement Results

The test results are consistent with the theoretical calculations, as shown in the following result curves:

Project Value

✔ Implement comprehensive safety monitoring of the entire tower crane operation process
✔ No sensor installation required; highly efficient deployment
✔ Enhance risk early-warning capabilities at construction sites
