Safety Monitoring of Tower Cranes at a Construction Site in Wuhan
Release time:
2026-03-23 17:07
Project Overview
To address the structural stability requirements of tower cranes during operation, real-time monitoring of tower inclination is implemented to enhance construction safety assurance.
Technical Solution
- Ultra-long-range measurement (approximately 280 m)
- Non-contact identification based on the natural texture of the tower body
- Real-time tracking of structural pose changes
| Serial Number | Type | Information Content |
| 1 | Focal length | 25mm |
| 2 | Measurement Point Type | Unique texture features of tower cranes |
| 3 | Measurement point distance | The distance to CD_1 is 280 m, and the distance to CD_2 is 290 m. |
| 4 | Refer to the test specifications. | GB/T 5031-2019 Tower Cranes |
Test conditions
Detect the real-time tilt of the tower body of a tower crane during operation.
| Operating Condition 1 | Rotate the loaded object from the starting position to the designated end position. |
| Operating Condition 2 | Stop for 2 minutes |
| Operating Condition 3 | Rotate the load from the designated end position back to the starting position. |
Measurement Results
The test results are consistent with the theoretical calculations, as shown in the following result curves:

Project Value
✔ Implement comprehensive safety monitoring of the entire tower crane operation process
✔ No sensor installation required; highly efficient deployment
✔ Enhance risk early-warning capabilities at construction sites
