News Summary
From April 22 to 24, 2026, the 19th Training Course on Municipal Drainage Pipeline Inspection and Assessment, as well as the Training Course on Municipal Drainage Pipeline Maintenance and Operations, was successfully held. The event was organized by the Municipal Pipeline and Trenchless Technology Professional Committee of the China Association of Municipal Engineering, with Hebei Provincial Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., Hebei Provincial Construction Engineering Quality Inspection Center Co., Ltd., and other institutions serving as co-organizers. SINOROCK, as the exclusive provider of on-site practical demonstrations for pipeline inspection during this event, participated throughout the in-person training sessions, delivering professional, systematic hands-on instruction in pipeline inspection to participants from across the country. Its efforts were highly commended by both the organizers and the trainees.

Exclusive hands-on demonstration, cutting-edge technical expertise
This training program is divided into two major thematic modules—“Inspection and Assessment” and “Maintenance and Operations”—which will be held from April 22 to 23 and from April 23 to 24, respectively. The training combines online live streaming with in-person classroom instruction, with each on-site session limited to 60 participants. Course content covers pipeline inspection and assessment methodologies, key technologies for maintenance and operations, as well as the identification and treatment of common defects, aiming to enhance practitioners’ theoretical expertise and hands-on skills.

As a leading domestic enterprise specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of pipeline inspection and maintenance equipment, SINROCK assumed the core responsibility for conducting hands-on field demonstrations during this training session. Over the course of the two-day in-person program, the company’s technical team focused on key technical aspects of pipeline inspection, systematically showcasing its independently developed pipeline robots, wireless periscopes, and pipeline powered‑sonar inspection systems—among other intelligent pipeline‑inspection tools—and performing full‑process, multi‑scenario live‑operation demonstrations.

• RSM-RTV(E) Pipeline Robot: Equipped with a high-definition PTZ camera and an autonomous crawling system, it can operate in pipelines of various diameters exceeding 300 mm. Featuring a GPS positioning system, a gigabit wireless router, and a modular automatic cable‑winding cart, it enables precise imaging of internal pipeline structures and defect detection.

• RSM-HQV(B) Wireless Periscope: Lightweight and highly maneuverable, with rapid deployment, ideal for quick preliminary inspections of manholes and short‑distance pipelines; delivers clear images and features simple operation.

• RSM‑SNR(C) Pipeline Acoustic Sonar Inspection System: Leveraging acoustic imaging technology, this system enables non‑contact, high‑precision detection of cross‑sectional profiles and sedimentation conditions in underwater pipelines or those with severe siltation. It can acquire accurate measurement data without draining the pipeline. The system reliably identifies most structural defects—such as cracks, deformations, concealed branch connections, and disconnections—as well as functional defects—including sedimentation, obstructions, residual walls, and dam foundations—while automatically calculating sediment volumes and generating longitudinal cross‑sections of the pipe‑bottom sedimentation state.

Professional, systematic training has received enthusiastic feedback from participants.
SINOROCK’s engineers not only conducted equipment demonstrations but also, drawing on years of frontline experience, provided a systematic overview of pipeline inspection workflows, key criteria for identifying common defects, and standards for data collection and analysis. Their explanations were both thorough yet accessible, with a clear emphasis on critical points, seamlessly integrating theory with hands-on practice to help participants quickly master essential pipeline‑inspection skills. Attendees at the (on-site) training unanimously praised SINOROCK’s program, noting its “substantial content, clear demonstrations, and user‑friendly equipment,” particularly highlighting the advanced intelligence and intuitive operability of their proprietary devices. Many technical professionals from client organizations, design institutes, and construction‑and‑operation companies proactively engaged with Zhongyan’s engineers, expressing strong interest in collaboration.

SINOROCK drives industry transformation through R&D innovation.
This training session not only enhanced the professional skills of industry practitioners but also played a positive role in advancing the standardization and intelligent development of municipal drainage pipeline inspection and maintenance in China. At present, China is vigorously promoting urban renewal and underground utility network upgrades. As an essential component of the “urban lifeline,” municipal drainage pipelines are now poised for unprecedented opportunities. From the 14th Five-Year Plan to region-specific projects aimed at improving drainage and flood prevention, demand for technologies such as pipeline inspection and assessment, smart operations and maintenance, and trenchless rehabilitation continues to grow, underscoring the urgent need for domestically developed equipment and solutions that are smarter, more efficient, and more reliable. Seizing this strategic window, SINOROCK has steadily increased its R&D investment. Leveraging independently controllable core technologies, the company has continuously overcome key challenges in areas such as adaptability to complex environments, data‑acquisition accuracy, and intelligent analytical capabilities. During this training, SINOROCK showcased its full product lineup—including the RSM series of pipeline robots, wireless periscopes, and pipeline acoustic‑sonar inspection systems—all of which are independently developed and fully protected by proprietary intellectual property rights. These offerings vividly demonstrate the company’s deep technical expertise in intelligent sensing, motion control, image recognition, and acoustic imaging. Backed by robust R&D capabilities and a profound understanding of real‑world application scenarios, SINOROCK has emerged as one of the leading domestic players in the pipeline‑inspection‑equipment sector. Looking ahead, the company will remain committed to a technology‑driven approach, seamlessly integrating cutting‑edge technologies such as AI‑based recognition and digital twins to deliver more integrated solutions characterized by high reliability and advanced intelligence. At the same time, SINOROCK will continue to engage in industry‑wide technical exchanges and talent‑training initiatives, helping to elevate the overall capacity for pipeline inspection and maintenance. In doing so, the company aims to make a pivotal contribution to the safe operation, smart management, and high‑quality development of China’s municipal drainage networks.
